The Process
ConsultationThis is the crucial first step in staging. We will meet you at your property for a comprehensive, room-by-room assessment and analysis. We will then take photo documentation of your property in its “as is” state. This is a very good way of viewing any property from the buyers’ eyes -- the photo is how your property will show in MLS, where majority of buyers will scan and shortlist all the properties they will eventually want to go and see. After going through all of this, we will discuss your staging options, and we will leave you with a handbook that details all our recommendations to help you prepare your home properly before it goes on the market. PreparationAt the end of the consult, we will agree on which part and how much of the work you will do yourself, and which ones you will need us to assist you with. We will also leave you with a list of critical preparatory work that needs to be completed before the actual staging day. You are not completely on your own though as we will arm you with the necessary resources and contacts you may need to do your prep work. Of course there is the option of letting StageRight do all of that work for you too. Rest assured, we will tailorfit our services to fit your budget and time considerations. At this point, a full quotation for services as well as furniture and accessories rental will be given to the client for approval. Staging DayOnce the necessary prep work has been completed, we will come in to do the actual staging work. The actual time we spend working will vary depending on the scope of work, but we will typically get all the work done within a day. We always request that the homeowners vacate the property during staging day as it makes for a more seamless work flow, plus the reveal is always more exciting when the transformation is complete! Pre-Open House Check Up To make sure everything is still in showcase condition, we will come back one day before the Open House to do last-minute checks and touch ups. Our goal is the same as yours – to ensure your property makes the best first impression and sell for top dollar in the quickest amount of time.
